But Gwyneth barely settles in with a good book before a man turns up dead. And given her terrible luck, the detective investigating is convinced she’s the killer.

A little magic gets her out of immediate trouble, only to land her in deeper danger when her mysterious lawyer turns out to be a vampire with plans of his own.

Now Gwyneth must solve a murder, clear her name, and avoid getting tangled up with the very creature she swore off forever.

Because if she fails, this vampire won’t just break her heart. He's decided she has to die.
